My Project

There are times throughout the day my students may become overwhelmed by stimuli. This often causes it to be difficult for them to focus and at times they will become upset.

A calming corner gives students a safe, soothing place to go.

Providing comfortable seating like the bean bag and or chairs in a quiet area provides the student a chance to explore the different sensory items available.

These items can help my students learn and develop coping skills for regulating their reactions to stimuli. When children are provided with the tools their attention and ability to learn greatly improves.
