My Students

I teach 6th grade language arts. Getting 6th graders excited about reading is extremely difficult. These comfortable seats will give them options and freedom to move around the room and they will get excited about our designated reading time.

My students are amazing.

They are not quite elementary students at this age, but haven't reached the middle school age either. We are at a charter school, so finding funds to cover fun (but pricey) projects is extremely hard. My students would love these seats. They will get excited about reading.

My Project

Being able to sit where they want will be huge for them. As 11-12 year olds, they love freedom. These seats will give them the feeling of getting to make a choice as to where they will sit. If they get excited about choosing their seat, they can in turn get excited about reading.

Reading is the building block to all other subjects.

If I can instill a love for reading in my students, they can grow in all other areas. These seats truly will help get the students excited about reading. Remember, they are our future, after all.
