My Project

Hello,

I am hoping to get this project funded so I can provide my amazing group of 23 students with new seating for their silent reading time.

Over the past few years I have been building up a library that my kids can get excited about. I think that we have achieved this. Now it is time to revamp the way that students engage in their reading!

My goal for this project, is to allow students to take turns reading in different locations around the classroom. In today's day. it is tough to keep kids engaged with books. One strategy that has shown to be effective is allowing students to pick a location around the room to read in that is different than their typical desk location. The only drawback is that the tile floor has proven to be uncomfortable, and it is a huge hassle to move desks each and every day.

Funding this project will make the transition to silent reading seamless. My students have so much energy and willingness to learn. I know they would absolutely love this.
