My Students

I teach 4th grade scholars in the Miami, Florida area in a difficult neighborhood.

Literacy is a love me and my students share, and as a reading teacher i want to promote their drive to independently read in the classroom and at home.

My students don't have easy access to books and reading materials, and I have made it my personal goal to give them all of the tools they need to enhance their reading skills. Whether it be books, comfortable seating, or educational manipulatives; I will bring reading to life for my fourth graders.

My Project

I have captured my students with my diverse classroom library or all genres and grade level novels. I want to continue this drive by creating a welcoming classroom nook where my students can comfortably read before/after school, during free time, and during differentiated instruction. This carpet and bean bags will support my students love of reading.

Every students deserves a safe and warm environment in which they can prop up their feet and enjoy a good book.

I feel that these materials will give my students that safety, comfort, and joy by being able to not only read, but read the way they choose to. With the perfect book, and a comfortable environment our literacy achievements will sky rocket to success.
