Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi! I am a sixth grade teacher in a Title I school. More than half of my students live in poverty and of those students many live in shelters. I want to create a positive, safe, comfortable environment where students can flourish and become lifelong learners and readers. We would love to beautify our classroom to help the students feel like they have a place to come and be themselves, get lost in their books and take control of their learning.

We are looking to get bookshelves, desks, a rug, and flexible seating options!

Right now our furniture is falling apart and we have books in boxes that don't have a home because we don't have enough bookshelves.
