This past August, I got my very first group of students as a second-grade dual language teacher. Since the day I met my students, I knew I was welcomed into my classroom a very special group of children. Everyday, my students show me they are eager to learn and what they are capable of.
Many of my students are English Language Learners from low income households.
However, they are ready to learn and not afraid to achieve higher goals! When my students come to my classroom we laugh, we play, and we love to learn. I want to provide my student's as much love and stability while they are in my classroom.
My Project
Since this is my first job, I do not have a lot of money to put into my classroom. However, my classroom is a safe place for many of them. I would love to provide my students with flexible seating to provide them the opportunity to sit comfortably and move around while they are learning.
As a first-year teacher, I want to do everything I possibly can to serve my students to the best of my ability.
This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day and feel at home in the classroom. I want to create an environment where my students feel comfortable and relaxed so they can learn and achieve great things.
