My Students

I currently work in South Ozone Park as a third grade teacher. My students are inquisitive, kind and full of positive energy. This year my focus is on helping students adjust to being back in school full time. All of the students deserve the opportunity to get the same quality education. Although my students have faced many challenges, they are all enthusiastic and eager to learn daily. This encourages me to find new ways to engage and promote a nurturing and fun environment for them. They have proven in just the first month of school that they are motivated and want to learn. I would love help with providing the materials that they need and deserve to help them.

My Project

There are various benefits of flexible seating. Students love being able to move around the room and choose partners to work with. Flexible seating helps to engage them and keep them focused. Allowing students to change locations helps them take ownership of their learning. These seats also provide a more comfortable alternative to the standard school chairs. I want my students to come to school excited to learn. Creating an environment that offers them choices empowers them. This helps to motivate my students and to keep them engaged in learning.
