My Students

Most of us like to curl up in a chair or recliner to read a good book. It's nothing like comfort seating for comfort reading. My students deserved the right to be comfortable while reading one of their favorite books.

I have 21 students 1st grade students who attend an Optional school.

Most of my students read above grade level. They enjoy reading so much that they invite parents to read to the class often. They are mesmerized when someone reads to them or they read to each other.

My Project

At this present time there is no seating for my children when they read casually in the classroom. They read at their tables or on the floor. After a while, the students get uncomfortable on the floor and stop reading their books. I never want them to stop reading. Reading is essential in all walks of like. With the materials requested, the students will be able to be comfortable while reading literature. We will be able to accomplish shared reading in mini groups, partner reading, echo reading, and so many more.

I am requesting 6 bean bag chairs for my students.

This is a good number that is manageable for small groups and other activities in our classroom. My students will love the chance to enjoy their books in comfortable seating without disturbing other children.
