This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Donating sweatpants to our school and program would offer all students a fair and equitable opportunity to come to Physical Education class prepared, comfortable, and ready to participate. Many students face financial or personal barriers that prevent them from having access to appropriate athletic wear, leaving some feeling self-conscious or unable to fully engage. By providing sweatpants for every student, we ensure that everyone, regardless of background or resources, has the same opportunity to be fully suited up and confident.

This donation would help eliminate these barriers, fostering inclusivity and encouraging participation.

When students feel comfortable and supported, they are more likely to actively engage in physical activity, try new things, and be involved in team-building exercises. It’s about more than just physical comfort—having the right attire promotes a sense of belonging and unity, which is essential for a positive and effective learning environment.

With donated sweatpants, we create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where all students can participate without hesitation, express themselves, and focus on their fitness and health goals. This initiative would not only impact students' experiences in PE but also help build a stronger sense of community within the school.
