This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
LS NOLA works to connect each and every one of our students to their indigenous, ancestral legacies & traditions through daily harambee circles, honest history classes, restorative justice practices, and more. Our students genuinely lead the school, especially our seniors who are our founding class.
We are currently operating out of a temporary campus and last year our classroom furniture consisted of folding chairs and folding tables--our students deserve better.
Help me to give them a learning environment that is flexible, comfortable, and supports learners with special needs. This project will give us flexible and comfortable seating options for all students.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
