Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help me create the comfort all kindergarten students desperately need!! I teach in a high-need, urban school which does not have the resources or funds to purchase equipment necessary for my students to have the best possible learning environment. This is my first year teaching kindergarten and I'm extremely excited to embark on this journey with my new learners.

My students are coming from low-income families and are new to the world of public education. My students are coming to school with little to no background in reading, writing or math and it would be extremely rare that any of them have attended educationally based preschools. Help me surpass the funding issues we are presented with in this inner city school and help create a wonderful learning environement for all.

I would love for my classroom to feel warm and comforting to all who enter by having substantial materials and furnishings like a rug to create an area where we could make our classroom community strive and a kidney table to work with small groups. These materials are vital to aid in the full educational experience of all students.

By helping out with your donation, you could help ensure students the best possible educational experience. My students need to feel that their education is the most important aspect of their lives and by creating a classroom full of materials is a step in the right direction. By donating a rug and table, you can truly help make a difference in the lives of our young learners.
