Teaching middle schoolers has taught me a lot about how they feel about themselves. Providing them access to these essential needs will positively affect their mood and focus. When a student isn’t having to worry if they smell bad or if they are worried because they don’t have access to items they know they will need throughout the day they are unable to focus on school because their needs are not met. I want my students to have what they need to make them successful even if it is something as simple as toothpaste and a toothbrush!
