Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school where 100% of students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. All of my students come from a low-income neighborhood where mainly all of our parents have to work countless hours to provide basic needs for their children.

I teach the most amazing, loving, and eager to learn group of students.

These students I work with are all students that have been struggling in English Language Arts for quite some time now. Despite the many challenges they face, I am always looking to keep things simple and provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience.

My Project

Due to our Covid restrictions, rugs have been removed from our classrooms and we desperately need these cushions. These awesome cushions will provide my excellent students with an individual space that will provide comfort when learning. Although we have tried sitting at our seats, we have all notice that we must be closer to our whiteboard to be more focused. The bins will also help us get more organized with our materials and will provide an individual space for all.

My students deserve comfort and individual space to be able to focus and be at their best.
