Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title One, elementary school where most of the students come from low-income families and homes. My students are eager to learn and are excited to achieve many successes this year. However, my room is on the simple side, with some decorations I've bought on my own. I would love to go the extra mile with some help. I would love to spruce it up a little more to students' tastes and make the room more comfortable/welcoming for students.

Lights, a rug, and hanging decor will bring a little more life to the room!

Decorative lights will help bring some ambiance while working with dimmed lights. Students can enjoy the rug in a quiet corner for when independent work is completed or small group activities. I'd also like to have some holiday decorations to change throughout the year or for special lessons to bring lessons to life in the classroom.
