Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Do you remember celebrating Valentine’s Day at school? Each year, I share the history of Saint Valentine with my fifth graders, they create their own mailboxes, and we exchange cards on Valentine’s Day.

Kindness to others is something we practice daily, and this year we began delivering ‘sunshine and smiles’ with our Kindness Trolley to everyone who helps to make our school a great place to learn.

Our Comets wish to continue showing kindness by creating Valentine Grams this year. I am requesting candy and paper so that we may create Valentine Grams for staff on our campus, as well as file folders to organize the Valentine Grams before we distribute them. Additionally, I am requesting paper bags so students can make mailboxes for our class Valentine’s Day card exchange, hot cocoa & cups, and other surprises to add to their bags.
