My Students

Walk into my classroom and you'll see variety. It's like stepping into a studio shared by 34 artists. Each student plans and develops their own project, choosing the right tools and media for each piece.

My school is an all-girls public school in New York City.

The girls here are amazing. They're so eager, intelligent, and talented. I am in awe of them sometimes. They have incredible work ethic and really push themselves to get good grades. The schools focus is to educate future leaders and the girls here have got the ambition and know-how to do it.

My Project

The girls have not had a consistent art education so it's my goal to create for them a strong art program. The paints I am requesting will be used for my students who want to take art for a second year and are ready to do more advanced work. They will be taught more challenging techniques in painting as well as focusing on concepts in art.

Most of my girls have not had the opportunity to work with quality materials and definitely not such a variety!

It excites them to know they are working with materials that professional artists work with and it makes them feel like artists too.
