Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our children are truly remarkable, and I am lucky to have such a group of learners that are so eager and enthusiastic. The children at our school are truly amazing. They are faced with many challenges but are always ready to tackle the tasks that await them with smiles on their faces.

My Project

P.S 380 prides itself on having a culture of inclusion. It’s a place where all types of children come to learn, grow, and feel safe. Our school serves students that need all different types of support . A handful of our students have learning challenges and difficulty regulating and managing their emotions. The sights, sounds, and interactions of everyday school life can prove to be overwhelming and often interrupts their learning experience.

This project will help provide students with the tools that they need in order to self regulate and manage their emotions.

From birth through to early childhood, children use their senses to explore and try to make sense of the world around them. They do this by touching, tasting, smelling, seeing, moving and hearing. Children, and even adults, learn best and retain the most information when they engage their senses.
