My Project

These items will make a huge difference to my classroom, I purchased a printer but unfortunately, it's not colored and does not do historical justice. I want the documents to come alive to my students and that is only through colors. Life is not black and white, colors are involved. With color, they can review maps, battlefields, primary and secondary sources much better.

Another item that I have on my project is a laminator.

This will help certain documents or posters last longer. I would really like a laminator that can laminate my anchor charts so that the colors will not fade.

I want the curtains because my middle school students constantly complain about the reflection from the sun and how it affects their view of the smartboard.

With these items, I believe Social Studies will become more relevant to the students. It will not just be something about the past but their present and future. With the colored items, they can see how Europe changed between the World Wars. They can see their work in color on the bulletin board, which I am absolutely sure they will enjoy.

Of course, my students are extremely special. They come to school with their different personalities every day. They challenge you to think a little deeper about your craft and they create relationships with their teachers and their peers. I have taught in two countries and my students are always on point and ready to learn and I love that for them and me.
