My Students

Our school is part of District 75 a network of 69 schools with students with disabilities who require increased attention. We offer support programs for children on the spectrum, educational, vocational, behavioral, and children with sensory impairment. Our school demographics Pacific Islander, Asian, Black, Hispanic, Native American, White, Arabic and Jewish the same for staff. A supportive environment where students feel safe, challenged to grow, and support to help meet their expectations. My students mean the world to me, they inspire me to be a better teacher. I love seeing their warm smiles each day upon my arrival. They're always willing to try and complete the task at hand.

My Project

We have been working continuously everyday with 16 classes for our multicultural show. Holiday resources such as wardrobe and scenic items are needed. Chairs will be utilized for those during script readings. The Ballet bar will help our little dancers prepare with practice for the ''Nutcracker''. Creating a story through puppetry helps our students with sensory and characterization. Multicultural festivities are a great opportunity to teach students some important values: Learning to share, spreading the love, and accepting other holiday cultures. Every child grows and develops differently doing things at their own pace.
