Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love designing projects. They have created a beautiful classroom covered with projects about vocabulary words, developing a city, noting rotational and reflectional symmetry, and explaining geometric and arithmetic sequences.

The final project for Geometry and Algebra 2 will be to design a food truck that represents each student's neighborhood.

They will have to analyze both the current culture of their neighborhood and the neighborhood's needs in deciding what type of food the food truck will provide. Then, they will apply concepts of area and perimeter to their project analysis. The more possibilities that students have to be creative by coloring, cutting, and gluing, the better these projects will turn out.
