Help me give my students access to more things which will help us produce a school newspaper and the school Yearbook. This also will help my creative writing and Speech classes.
The items which I have asked for are things I normally pay for out of my own pocket. This year is my third teaching in a small rural Title 1 school. This is my second year teaching Yearbook which is why I have asked for things such as the Canon printer. It will be used to print ads when we make them. As well as sending thank you notes to our local businesses whom buy the ads to help with the Yearbook. My classroom is like a second home for my students and using the mini printer will help them decorate the classroom, which also allows them to feel like they have some ownership.
Since we are a small rural school we don't always have the same funding as the bigger school around us which why I have asked for these items.
My goal for this project is help the kids learn more about publishing their writing and photography. My students are special because they are the first ones in our school who are going to get to be publishing their own writing magazine.
