Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to find engaging resources made by other teachers in my subject area Spanish. My goal is to be able to find engaging units for my heritage language speakers class that involves students using their creativity to create a piece of art that showcases their learning of Spanish Literature.

I find that is necessary to support our heritage speakers to learn about their literature in a fun engaging way.

Many find the material presented to them in their native language (Spanish) helps the improve their english reading comprehension skills. Learning about authors like Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Don Quijote opens the door to their imagination and the history of their language.

Lastly, my students come to class hungry and often times asking for snacks. I would love to provide them with some joy with special snack donated by you. They are very grateful and would love to see they were given supplies.
