Help me give my students long lasting colorful references and resources that they can use in school and at home with a laminating machine and printer ink.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My shining fifth graders are located in a low income community with an eagerness to learn, despite a lack of supplies. In my math classroom, we want to provide students with equal avenues for success. That includes addressing all the different learning styles of my students. These resources will provide an opportunity for me to cater to my visual learners so that they can be successful.
Many of my students, some with learning disabilities, learn best when provided with visuals such as references sheet, anchor charts, and other differentiated resources.
Laminating will give students a strong resource that they can repeatedly use throughout the school year. They can also take them home and keep them in excellent condition. Providing students with colorful resources provides visual stimulation that rewires the brain, making stronger connections while fostering visual thinking, problem solving and creativity. The variety of printer ink will help me refill our printer.
