My students are incredibly creative! We start the year by making Me Magazine covers, with students designing and placing themselves on the covers of their own magazine: Westin Weekly, Zeyad's Zine, Milahn Monthly, The Gooden Gazette, The Jacob Journal, The Duru Daily, The Leo Lampoon, Mira Magazine-- and so on! These creations are designed on Canva and printed in color to decorate our classroom for the year. It's an opportunity for students share themselves and get to know others. We start the second semester similarly, with students imagining a newspaper article about their future selves.
Color printing really brings these projects to life for all to enjoy.
