Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials in this "Colorful Sensory Tools in Pre-K" project will add fun and engaging colorful sensory materials to many of our learning centers. The sensory materials in this project will be placed in our learning centers to create new activities and experiences for our Pre-K students.

"Most of what children need to learn during their early childhood years cannot be taught; it's discovered through play." Dr Ruth Wilson - Early Childhood Educational Consultant.

The colorful bowls will be placed in our sandbox center, loose parts center and math (toys & games) center. The students will use the bowls for sorting, filling and building. The colorful ten frame poppers will be added to our math (toys & games) center. Students can practice counting and number recognition. The colorful alphabet poppers will be placed in our library center and allow students to practice their letter recognition.

The colorful glitter sequin pillow covers & inserts will be added to our calm corner and will give students a soothing, soft activity when they need some down time. The colorful kitchen funnels and measuring cups will be added to our sandbox. Students will love playing with these materials as they scoop and pour in our sandbox center. The balance scale will be used in our discovery center and allow students weigh & measure various materials.

The colorful sensory tools in this project will add so many fun, engaging and unique learning experiences for our Pre-K students. Thank you for your support.
