This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is a Title 1 school where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students come from low income & unstable homes. Our new normal of teaching is just adding to the burden of trying to ensure these students receive a quality education.
Our new normal of teaching is taking a lot to get used to but my students and I are learning to adapt and roll with the punches.
Every week seems to be getting a little easier, but with the constant changing of our learning styles: 100% virtual to hybrid to 100% face to face we are being faced with many new challenges.
My students have so much potential, and I strive to provide them with everything they need in order to succeed! Even though this year has been tough on everyone, my students are still coming to school with smiles on their faces ready to learn.
Through my experience, teaching is much easier and the students show more growth when necessary materials are available for use in our classroom. Unfortunately, I cannot always provide the necessary materials.
My Project
Having the HP Ink Cartridges will help ensure that I can continue to provide my students with resources to help facilitate their learning. This year has been very interesting to say the least, however, the learning must go on!
We are in a constant state of unknown this school year.
Our in-person learning can stop at any moment and we will be back to virtual or hybrid learning. For the time being, we are trying to make our classroom look as "normal" as possible. We still use our Chromebooks and technology daily, but we are incorporating more and more paper and pencil work.
