My Project

The carpet in a preschool classroom is more than just a carpet! This is where we listen to our teacher read, where our morning meeting/circle time takes place, and where we join together to start our day. A classroom rug also serves as a dance floor and yoga studio for when our gross motor time is indoors. Currently, our classroom rug is small, plain black, and has undergone the typical wear and tear that comes with being on the floor of a preschool class. The carpet is the first thing that students see when they walk into the room and the place where they spend a lot of time in their day.

I would love it if my students had a colorful, comfortable rug to welcome their big smiles each day!

P.S. The current rug we have will not be discarded when a new one is purchased. It will be moved into the dramatic play area to provide more comfort for students when they are playing in that area!
