This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is full of bright-eyed, beautiful children who are excited to learn. The majority of them are low-income and many of them are coming to pre-kindergarten/Kindergarten already behind. They are ready and eager to learn new things and to have new experiences.
Our school is located in the city of Detroit and we are a Title I school where all of the students in the school qualify for free lunch.
Many of our students eat breakfast at school as well. This is the beginning of their educational experience and I want to make sure they have everything they need to be successful.
My Project
This project is all about buying a printer for me to create materials for my students to use at home. Montessori is all about beautiful materials and it would be impossible to buy each child a full set of actual materials, but it is possible to print and recreate many Montessori lessons.
Your donation will mean that students have beautifully printed materials to work with at home.
Learning from home is a more difficult for many students. With your help I can print materials to help encourage them to enjoy learning from home.
