My Project

Beads, bracelet making kits, and a rainbow loom offer endless possibilities for creativity. Students are allowed to express themselves through design and color, promoting a sense of pride and accomplishment in their creations. These activities are also calming and meditative, which can help students regulate their emotions and reduce stress.

Engaging in bracelet making fosters important social-emotional skills such as collaboration, patience, and empathy.

Students will learn to work together, share materials, and support each other in their creative endeavors. These skills are important for building positive relationships and creating a supportive classroom community.

For our English language learners, these creative activities provide a non-verbal way to communicate and connect with classmates. Students can practice vocabulary related to colors, shapes, and patterns, enhancing their language development in a hands-on, meaningful way. Additionally, working with their hands can help students feel more confident and comfortable in the classroom, building their self-esteem and sense of belonging.

By supporting this project, you will provide my students with the tools they need to express themselves creatively and also help them develop valuable SEL skills that will benefit them both in and out of the classroom.
