Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of amazing 3rd graders in a public NYC school. They are part of a great program called the ASD Nest program. This inclusive program integrates students with autism into a general education classroom. My students have a range of ablilities which makes me want to create a perfect classroom for them! They benefit from individualized instruction and a flexible classroom environment that supports their success. My students are fun, caring, and curious kids who love to learn.

My Project

Many of my students are visual learners. They learn through seeing the lessons and lesson materials. With a color printer, I can make these visuals engaging and helpful for them to see. It will help their organization and executive functioning skills. I also think having a color printer will allow them to see visuals in a new and interesting way. With a color printer, my lessons will come to life and become a meaningful experience for my students.

I want to show my students that the world is a beautiful, colorful place.

I know they will be excited to see color added to their classroom lessons.
