My Project

Our class consists of students from various ethnicities, abilities, and many are socioeconomically challenged. They range from gifted to special needs. They are all smart, funny, and eager to learn.

My students read resources and asked what color were those famous people?

Or what do they really look like, because our school's black and white copy machine, (which is often broken) doesn't show skin tone or complexion. Culturally responsive teaching is a research-based approach to teaching. It connects students' cultures, languages, and life experiences with what they learn in school. Please help us get a color copier so our resources are more accurate and sensitive.
