My Project

I teach reading intervention to 36 creative and eager students. They love to share their thoughts and ideas and they are learning to love reading too!

My students are happy and imaginative, and I love providing opportunities where they can express their creativity in our lessons.

I will use the colorful cardstock to make fun sound spinner games to help with blending. The liquid watercolors will help with our crayon-resist mystery word game. The UV invisible ink pens will be utilized for our fun spy reading activity. We will use the rainbow pencils and colorful whiteboard markers to provide different mediums to practice writing, and the markers and colored pencils will also allow them to illustrate their stories and decodables.

We will be reading about the science behind slime and then making it in our groups, so the glue and glitter are for that project. Metallic sharpies are so fun, and my students will love practicing their spelling on black paper with them. The Xacto knife will be used to cut slits in tennis balls for the bottoms of our desk chairs.

Allowing my students to create and express themselves while improving their reading and writing will make the lessons more engaging and memorable, which will improve their overall success.
