This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
There is no shortage of personality, creativity, and laughs when it comes to our students. Each day as we welcome them with a warm "Good morning!", they return the same energy with smiles (under their masks) and eyes that light up.
Our Scholars know what it takes to be advocates for themselves and their education.
Each day they strive towards their goals while demonstrating their brilliance with a tenacious spirit. Their contributions in the classroom are invaluable. They are eager to learn and push each other through challenging tasks.
We all can attest to the fact that these past couples of years have been trying. Despite the struggles, our scholars are actively involved in the development of a caring classroom community which allows all students to take educational risks. Each day they push themselves to be wiser, more enlightened and most of all empathetic towards one another.
My Project
There’s no doubt that more and more classrooms are going digital, with a steady increase in the adoption of tablets, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and other mobile devices. Yet even with this growing adoption, there remains a strong need to print your work. While it may seem counter to the notion of going digital, an undeniable need for paper still exists.
At my school, I served a large special needs population that needs to be able to print assignments while teachers need to be able to print tests, lesson plans, and digital projects.
