My Students

"Why do two colors, put one next to the other, sing? Can one really explain this? No." Pablo Picasso had a point, and my students would benefit greatly from printing their classwork in bright, vivid color in our classroom.

My students are from south Los Angeles County, the majority of them are Latinos, many are second language learners, and they attend a high school with nearly 3000 students.

They are part of the Health, Science, and Medicine Academy at our high school.

My Project

My classroom was fortunate enough to receive an awesome HP Color printer from DonorsChoose several years ago. The printer works great and my students love seeing their work posted around the room. They especially like seeing the engaging color of the title pages of their essays and the colorful storyboards that are required as part of their quarterly book reports.

Growing up in a lower socio-economic community, not all my students have the luxury of a color printer at home.

Unfortunately, we have depleted our entire ink supply reserve. This project is requesting more ink cartridges to use with the color printer we already have as a classroom tool.
