Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When it comes to math it is very hard to get creative. As an end of year project for Algebra 1 we have a statistics project where students collect data and create a histogram, stem and whisker plot, stem and leaf plot, find the standard deviation and more. In our geometry class we do a robot project that involves finding area, volume, and surface area of a robot that students design in small groups.

These projects promote creativity and connection to real-life.

As students pick the themes for their projects they want to add color and patterns that take a lot more time to execute neatly with crayons and white paper. That would be facilitated with access to a color printer. Please help me give my students a color printer to inspire creativity in math class projects.
