This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is made up of English language learners, general education students, and students with disabilities. Even with their various learning challenges and language challenges, my students never fail to exceed my expectations, which as a teacher is always humbling. These incredible learners deserve to have the supplies they need.

My first graders are very enthusiastic and excited learners.

They just need some additional tools to get them on their way to learning.

My Project

Our class is in need of a color printer. Unfortunately the school’s printers keep breaking on us and there are things we need copies of every day such as differentiated writing paper and math fluencies. After a book of the month read aloud, I may give a writing response. Not everyone can write the sentence starter, so I like to do it for them.

Instead of writing each sentence starter, a printer would make my work a lot easier so I have more time to work with my students.

First grade also works together a lot! So anything I make for myself, I also copy for my first grade team.
