Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

If you can imagine it, we can create it! Our students come from a various economic back grounds. Our school receives annual funding but still some materials are inaccessible. A color printer would allow us to create additional materials such as visual aids, photographs, games, and awards.

The students in my classroom are bilingual learners, who are developing their English and Spanish language skills.

They rely on visuals to access vocabulary. They come from all over Boston, and represent a range of Latin and Caribbean countries. They are at an age, where they are eager to learn and curious about the world.

My Project

Students will be able to write and illustrate stories on the computer and print them. They will search for images connected to their learning, and create their own picture dictionaries. Literacy and math games will also be created using the color printer. These are games students will have access to during class times, to gain additional practice in a fun way.

Students will gain skills in computer use, in writing, and vocabulary.

They will be more engaged with materials because they will be in color, especially with games that target literacy skills.
