Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
As a teacher at a low-income, Title I school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My young students come to school every day with a smile on their face and eager to learn.
I teach an early childhood special education class for children with autism. It is my duty to provide meaningful learning opportunities for them and to meet their individual needs.
My Project
Our classroom does not currently have a colored printer. All of my students are special needs children with autism who often need visual supports to assist with learning various skills. Printing visual supports in black and white does not do them justice. My students need to visually see color in order to gain their attention and focus on the task at hand. I'm requesting an HP multi-function colored printer.
Examples of how I would use the colored printer is by creating visual schedules for each student to follow, pictures of themselves so they can see what they are expected to do in class, and assist with certain daily skill tasks such as washing hands, using the bathroom, requesting food items, etc.
