This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are diverse, and many are learning a third language (Spanish) with me. Research shows that reading is the best way for students to improve language learning and proficiency. In class we use authentic materials on a daily basis. One "hurdle" that would make a difference in our work is to have access to materials and manipulative materials in color; such as infographics, images of food, clothing, historic places, historic figures, etc. to make our work possible, more authentic. A color printer would make this possible. Thank you.
