My Project

My fourth-grade class is diverse, bright, and curious. They are 21st-century learners, equally adept with paper and pencil and with iPads and apps. However, when students type up their final drafts of their writing and STEAM projects, printing with just black ink doesn't seem to do their efforts justice.

That is why we need color with a color printer to add pizzazz and pop to their projects!

Our Writer's Workshop bulletin board currently features students' realistic fiction narrative writing---"I've Survived a Volcanic Eruption"---tying narrative writing with our earth science unit on volcanoes and earthquakes.

Having a color printer will enable my students to add vibrant images to enhance their stories.

Being able to print in color will also make it so much easier for me to print out photos of learning in action to display around our classroom.

Every child should have the opportunity to display their creativity. By providing our class with a color printer, my students will be even more motivated to publish their work which will be brought to life in living color.
