My Students

We are 4th graders who reside in New York. My classroom is comprised of one English Language Arts ICT class and Math/Science class, taught in a departmentalized model. The 30 diverse children include general education children and children with disabilities. In addition to being made up of 40% students with special needs, my class has students who are extremely bright and need to be academically challenged. Although my students come from different backgrounds, they all have something in common: they are excited, eager to learn, and love to participate in class discussions and activities. It is my challenge to keep them engaged and learning.

My Project

It will be such an asset for my class to have their own color printer. The possibilities seem endless! My students will be able to brighten up their work and share their published math projects.

Having a printer with color will also give me a chance to customize and color code their group activities as needed.

I also look forward to brightening up my display of student work throughout the room. Showcasing my students work in color and printing out online documents to read and annotate science articles will benefit them tremendously! Not every child in my class has the luxury to access a printer to fulfill their education needs when assignments are assigned that require bringing in articles to work in the classroom with.

Differentiation is so important in an ICT classroom. With the students constantly changing groups daily I would be able to print/ copy additional graphic organizers right on the spot!
