Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I constantly find myself needing a colored copy of an educational poster, student resource, student game, a color coded data sheet, and more. I am hoping that this printer will help enrich my students' learning experience.

This printer will be used to improve instruction across all content areas.

In math, I will use the ink to print out coins in color so that students are able to better differentiate them. In reading, I have been utilizing a specialized set of sight words that contain visual cues. These sight word flashcards are sent home and have had a tremendous effect on my students' reading. In social studies, students better understand color maps than simple black and white. In writing, we will use the color for their big animal research project at the end of the year. Having realistic color photos will really excite my students!

I would also like to have more engaging resources for my homework folders. In there, students can reference charts to allow them to practice with more fidelity.

On top of all this, it helps me be more efficient. I can print out student data papers and other instructional materials.

When I do need to print something in color now, I am asking around and sending my request off to others. Were I to have this ink, I could accomplish these tasks immediately, freeing me to perform tasks that have an even larger impact on student learning.

This special printer will be shared amongst all first grade teachers! Thank you so much for supporting our team!
