My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning but they have different learning styles. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My students have special and language needs so a color printer with color ink to print out adapted books and texts would greatly help them!

My students love to learn new skills and concepts for school. However, they struggle with presenting their work and understanding of the lesson through worksheets and traditional books. Having them use adapted books with visual images would greatly benefit them, especially since they can bring them home to reinforce the reading skills they learn in school.

My Project

My students love to learn! However, they do not have many supplies at home. They also struggle with worksheets and traditional books due to their special and language needs. My students also mentioned that at home, they sometimes cannot log into the reading programs due to their WiFi or iPad issues. Having a color printer and color ink would allow us to print adapted books and texts with visual images so that they can read more at home and practice the reading skills we are learning in school.

My students would be having some color in the texts they are reading!

Since my school does not have a color printer, they often read black and white texts and struggle to decipher what is in the images. Since my students have language and special needs, they rely a lot on images to understand the texts and directions.
