My Students

We teach our students to create wonderful rich multimedia projects like designing great artistic pieces on the computer using the Bamboo tablet and digital photography. Imagine then you are unable to print your creations? This is what happens when you have no funding to buy color toner.

We are a Pre-K to Grade 5 School in New York City.

We have 625 children enrolled in our school. We are a Title I school with many students new to the United States. We see over 400 children weekly in our computer lab. The children learn digital story telling, web page design, graphic design using the Bamboo tablets, using Flip video cameras and many other 21st century skills. To do this successfully, we MUST be able to print our work in COLOR for our portfolios as well as display on our bulletin boards!

My Project

If we receive funding for this color toner we will be set for the year. I can allow the students to print their printed work and projects more freely. Students create beautiful artwork using Bamboo tablets as well as publishing their digital photos. Our students take digital photos throughout the school year; documenting trips, shows, celebrations, ceremonies! Many teachers also come to the lab to print various things to use for instruction. From pictures of the beautiful multicultural faces of the children in their class, to the beautiful artwork they create using Microsoft Paint or Kidpix. As you can see, all the children and teachers would benefit by receiving this generous donation!

What sense is creating our beautiful artwork and pictures on our computers and then not being able to print it?
