Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from very diverse backgrounds and bring many special qualities to my classroom. As a Title I School, many of my students are on free and/or reduced-price lunch and often lack the basic supplies necessary to be successful students.

While we are all different, we have much to learn from each other.

As a school, we are trying to create a sense of school community. The morning announcements bring together our school and share information about what is going on in our school and community.

My Project

My students will be able to see in color! Often we publish work and black and white is fine. However, this is nothing like color.

Color will liven up our classroom, help bring our work to life, and enable us to make our published writing even more beautiful.

I plan having students use the color printer as a reward for publishing their work. Students will look forward to using the colored printer. They will be able to create memories that will last a lifetime. This is the ultimate reward in publishing work! No more black and white for us! We are moving towards more unique work!
