My Students

I am tasked with the pleasure of teaching second grade students all subject areas. These students are curious, intelligent, and creative beyond all measures. They attend a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet in Los Angeles. Being that our school is an Art Magnet one of their favorite things to do is art so I try to integrate it into as many subject areas as possible. The students come from various backgrounds and we are limited in the resources available to us.

My Project

I know that I get tired of using boring dingy markers all the time in our second grade classroom. I am asking for some basic supplies that will add some color to charts and white board lessons. The students will be creating their own charts and what is better than a scented delicious smelling marker to make the work just a little more enjoyable. I would rather create posters and charts that are loaded with color and are visually more appealing. The cart will make life easier because we will be able to store construction paper in an organized way.
