My Project

We try our best to motivate our students to read and retain information the best way we can. Getting high-school students engaged with the written word during this technology age, filled with moving images etc., is increasingly difficult. One medium that we rely heavily on is color. It works wonders in gaining interest and attention, and making students feel special. As a go-to person for creative projects and materials to enhance student learning, I find myself spending countless dollars at Staples, Office Depot and the like, printing materials in color.

By investing in this laser-color printer, you will help stimulate student minds, tap into their emotional compasses and aid in their retention of information.

We host several activities annually that address the entire 9th and 10th grade student bodies. Some of the activities include an annual writing camp, scavenger hunts and gallery walks. This year we are looking to add an escape room to the mix. We would also like to provide students with thumbnail "cheat sheets" of reading and writing tips. Being able to have an in-house color printer with bulk printing capabilities, would really help in this initiative. Color can make a significant impact on how students behave in class, maintain focus, and retain information. Thank you in advance for investing in a colorful world for our students!
