My Project

My students come to school bearing the weight of all kinds of problems, from issues at home to issues in the news. Students at my school already have to deal with the stigma associated with attending an alternative school in addition to all of the other burdens they carry.

My students need time to read, write, think and process the issues they face.

I want to equip my students with an SEL library, journals, writing prompts, coloring books, and a crafting skill like origami to give them a designated time and space where they know they can relax and be at ease to work through their emotions
