Our 3rd grade students attend an elementary school in Brooklyn, New York. For many of our students English is their second language. They have been working hard to become stronger readers and more proficient in the English language. Our students work with their peers to complete many of their instructional activities such as researching Asian government and creating informative culminating projects. Colored pictures and projects help my student better comprehend what they are learning. It also helps them feel proud to share what they learned.
My Project
Color ink will help students feel proud of their hard work. We have a classroom printer, however, we need more toner. With color toner, students can also print and share their work in school as well as bring a copy home to share with their family and friends. In the past, we have created cards for veterans, mothers and fathers day and our class parents. It also helps ESL students through detailed pictures and matching vocabulary. Using different websites students create books and info graphics. Having access to their work is great, but having a hard copy to hang up is even better!
