My Project

My students are wonderful, they are hardworking and always willing to give me a helping hand. Many of them enter our school below grade level academically, however, they buckle down and commit to our academic process, and end up learning and excelling beyond their wildest dreams.

The printer ink will help us continue the mission started two years ago, of having students print in color.

Working in color creates engagement and community. We are a supportive community building our school culture on respect, kindness, rigorous academics, and the belief that everyone can attend college and succeed.

We pride ourselves on our inclusive community, we are small enough that everyone feels like family once they step into our warm hallways. Most students lend their time to helping staff decorate their doors, and bulletin boards every few weeks. Many of my students are new to the country, yet, in a short time, they have acclimated to our school culture, because of our peer-to-peer support system.

When students work with colored materials it helps to improve their mood and performance in school. Often students are excited to create graphic projects and papers, that are less than magnificent when they print in black and white. Reentering the classroom will be important to rebuild relationships with my students and foster new relationships with incoming Freshmen.
